Driving home a couple of nights ago I heard John Dominic Crossan being interviewed on ABC 720. His choice of song to finish the interview was Danny Boy, as, he said, a tribute to Northern Ireland.

He said this version would be played to a Londonderry air. I had to laugh, as I wondered whether the IRA would consider a London derrière as a tribute.

Homophones make for bad diplomacy.
